Before you write
A MAC address shows the wrong company
We publish the IEEE registry as-is and do not edit records. If a block is attributed to the wrong organization, the registrant needs to update their filing with the IEEE Registration Authority; the correction reaches us automatically on the next daily import.
A MAC address returns nothing
Check the FAQ first. The most common causes are locally administered addresses and MAC randomisation, neither of which has a registry entry to find.
You need bulk access
The full registry is available as static JSON under /data/oui/ and as a Cisco-compatible XML export. Neither is rate limited. See the API documentation for details.
