What this block covers
The retired predecessor to MA-S, the same size and issued from a handful of IEEE owned prefixes. No new IABs have been issued since 2014, but existing ones remain valid.
Any MAC address between 00:50:C2:98:70:00 and 00:50:C2:98:7F:FF belongs to this assignment. The registrant chooses the remaining 12 bits, so the same prefix can appear on very different products from the same company.
